This past week-end we hosted the WP Dabchick training camp. There were 27 entrants, the coaches were Marcus Progli and Andrea Giovanni, with guest appreances from Steven Du Toit, Allan Kean and Rick Nankin, who each coached on a specific area of sailing. I is an honour to have had such a star studded coaching team for the camp.
Judging by the favourable reports and mails, it was a resounding success!. A big thanks to all the members that contributed to the organising and running the camp..
I can highly reccommend this annual camp to any aspiring sailors that are keen to learn more about our fantastic sport. To those of you that attended we will be looking for a big step up in performance!.
This coming Sunday will be the "Airflex Persuit" regatta, starting at 10h45 sharp!, there will be four races. It is open to all classes and there are trophys for each class. Our last club day saw a nice Optomist fleet as well as the usual strong Dabbie fleet, lets see some more boats on the water to add to the fun.
All the club facilities will be open and the galley will be serving snacks and light lunches etc.
To any novice sailors that have done the level 1 or 2 courses and would like to join in you are welcome to hire a club boat and we will help you through the basics to get you started. If any of you are interested to find out more about our club and sailing please just ask any of the committee members  or drop up an e-mail, we would be only too pleased to help.
